It is possible to rent the Great American
Music Hall for concerts that are open to the public, and our staff
is well-trained to accommodate these types of shows. We encourage
you to use our full array of services when considering this type
of production, as a variety of special considerations need to be
coordinated in order to make such an event successful. Here is some
additional information to help you in making your decision.
- GAMH's box office can assist in selling
tickets to your event for a $250 fee as well as a .50 cent per
ticket print charge. Ticket sales can be made in person during
box office hours or by fax at (415) 885-0750 (a $1.50 service
fee will be applied to fax orders). In addition, Ticketweb
is contracted with GAMH to sell your tickets on line or by phone
at 866-468-3399.
- GAMH's rental fee does not include mention
of your event in our print ads. If you would like to be included
in our San Francisco Chronicle, Bay Guardian or SF Weekly
advertisements, our events coordinator would be happy to facilitate
it, give you prices, deadlines, etc.
- GAMH does have a bar minimum, in addition
to its rental fee, and we do request that the bar minimum be paid
in advance. If a client selects a no-host/cash bar, the bar guarantee
will be refunded within 10 days of the event provided the bar
minimum was met. If the bar minimum is not met, the renter will
receive a refund of the total bar register sales. The difference
between the bar guarantee and the bar register sales will be retained
by GAMH.
- Security: All security must be provided
by GAMH. The rental fee includes minimal security. If the event
is expected to draw more than 300 people, additional security
will be required, and this will be an additional expense to the
renter. The amount of security necessary must be determined by
GAMH.
