The next generation of jazz is upon us! The Bay
Area's most talented young musicians will showcase their dynamic improvising, original compositions, and arrangements of classic jazz songs in groups ranging from swinging combos to a powerful big band—all in one of S.F.'s most renowned music venues. Selected by competitive audition each year, the SFJAZZ High School All-Stars represent the highest calibre of young musicians from across the
Bay Area. Since the program's inception in 2001, five All-Star students have been selected for the grammy All-American Jazz Ensembles, four have received ASCAP Young Jazz Composers Awards, and the ensemble has collectively received 30 DownBeat Student Music Awards.
